In an open letter signed by over 100 tech firms—including Anthropic, AWS, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Oracle—the authors warn that AI‑driven cyber attacks will soon become far more sophisticated and pervasive. They contend the current security posture is inadequate because of legacy bugs, misconfigurations and under‑resourced teams, and call for a global effort to empower defenders with AI tools, share verified fixes, and forge cross‑sector partnerships to raise protection standards. The letter urges immediate action to safeguard critical infrastructure and services from imminent AI‑enabled threats.
