This Reddit thread discusses a referral feature spotted by some ChatGPT Plus subscribers, where an "Invite a Friend" option appears in the lower-left corner of the ChatGPT UI, allowing eligible users to generate invite URLs. Only some ChatGPT Plus users have the ability to generate and send free trial invite links, and eligible users will see the option in the ChatGPT interface. OpenAI shows this feature only to selected accounts based on region, account history, or limited testing, and it is normal for most users not to see the option, as there is no way to manually enable it.
