Release b8825 of llama.cpp, released on April 17, 2026, includes updates to media marker handling where the get_media_marker() function now checks the LLAMA_MEDIA_MARKER environment variable on first call and uses it if set, falling back to a random marker otherwise. Test fixtures have been updated to set LLAMA_MEDIA_MARKER so that hardcoded test prompts work without dynamically fetching the marker.
