BREAKING: Kazakhstan Railways is bringing Starlink internet to 900 train carriages this summer. • By July, around 900 train carriages will be equipped with Starlink internet. • The service will cover nearly 50 passenger routes across the country. • KTZ’s passenger fleet has about 2,211 units, with the goal of full network coverage by autumn. • The rollout is being done in stages as part of Kazakhstan’s railway transport modernization program • Starlink was first tested on the Burabay Express electric train in 2025. • Satellite internet has also been introduced on other major routes, including Astana–Ust-Kamenogorsk and Astana–Almaty Talgo trains.
