Brex’s summer benchmark shows how quickly the infrastructure behind the agent economy is growing. 14 of the 25 fastest-growing software vendors serve teams building AI products, and Together AI ranks first on the list. Startups also tend to adopt open source models 5 months after their first Big Lab API bill, which is twice as fast as it was in 2024. We’re seeing that same growth in open-model usage: a year ago, we served 30B tokens a month. Today, we serve 400T across the products and agents running on Together. Our summer fastest-growing vendors list just dropped, and the story is: infrastructure won. Turns out the real AI hype isn't the app, it's what's under it.
