Dream Labs CEO @jang_yoel explains why robotics has a 30,000-user problem, and how a 400 robot duck could change that: "We're bounded by the number of users that have robots. The previous industry leads, AgiBot, Unitree, they sold 10,000 robots each last year. Cumulatively, there’s 30,000 robots. That means there’s only 30,000 users, and no business succeeds with 30,000 users." "Hugging Face released a robot called Microduck. In four days they sold 10,000. That’s 400. It’s very cute, but it can pick up stuff and do useful stuff. We got Dream-1 to control Microducks." "Previously, hardware was very expensive because the models were weak. Now they’re very capable, and they can make use of a lot of affordable hardware." @dreamlabs_ai Media when OpenAI shuts down the message boards (sound on)
