Electric has partnered with Databricks to extend Databricks’ PostgreSQL capabilities from the lakehouse into edge environments. This collaboration allows a wide range of lightweight open‑source databases, powered by WASM Postgres, to be deployed at the edge and automatically sync back to Lakebase Postgres for centralized control. The data is consolidated on cost‑effective, durable object storage, providing a unified platform for AI agent sandboxes and edge workloads.
