Ideogram released version 4.0 of its text-to-image model as an open-weight model with native 2K resolution, bounding box control, and improved text rendering. The model weights are available on GitHub, allowing developers, researchers, and tinkerers to run local inference, fine-tune the model for their own use cases, and build on top of it without asking permission. Ideogram 4.0 ranks first among all open-weight models on the DesignArena leaderboard, with only closed models from OpenAI and Google scoring higher.
