Nous Research's Hermes Agent gained a Manim skill that serves as a production pipeline for mathematical and technical animations using Manim Community Edition, creating 3Blue1Brown-style animated videos from text prompts, with the agent handling the full pipeline: creative planning, Python code generation, rendering, scene stitching, and iterative refinement. Tobi Lutke (CEO of Shopify) publicly showcased the capability, noting that Hermes agent ships with the /manim_video skill, which he used to explain how a QMD query works. Nous Research highlighted his use as a notable real-world demonstration of the Manim skill in action.
