AWS Agent Registry, now in preview as part of AgentCore, provides a single place to discover, share, and reuse AI agents, tools, and agent skills across an enterprise. As enterprises scale to hundreds or thousands of agents, the registry addresses three critical challenges — visibility, control, and reuse — which, without a centralized system, lead to agent sprawl, compliance risks, and duplicated development effort. The registry indexes agents regardless of where they are built or hosted — on AWS, other cloud providers, or on-premises — and natively supports standards such as MCP and A2A, with flexibility for custom schemas. AWS Agent Registry is available in preview in five AWS regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), and Europe (Ireland).
