I came across this blog post from OrcaRouter: https://www.orcarouter.ai/blog/qwen-3-8-next-vs-qwen-3-8 Not only is the blog post nonsensical in some parts, it's also completely without any value. It basically says "Yeah Qwen3.8-Flash-Next was just released so there's no independent benchmarks. And it's bigger! So you shouldn't use it!! Ever!!!!" Its also super slop post as you can see in the first paragraph already. No person writes like this: On independent evidence — arena placements, a legal-agent study, third-party throughput measurements — the 27B is the only one of the two with any. That combination is the entire decision. Now I know Orca is kind of a favourite around here, at least judging by some comments. I've personally had less than stellar results with it, but I'm sure I've done something wrong in setting it up, as so far 9/10 Qwen3.8 models worked with my setup and only Orca's didn't work. Either way though, I'm very weirded out by something like this. Idk why someone would post something like this literally the same day a new model was released, especially on their company website instead of a personal blog. submitted by /u/buttplugs4life4me [link] [comments]
