What's next for @openclaw - Peter Steinberger on the future of the claw

Peter Steinberger, creator of the viral open-source AI personal assistant OpenClaw (formerly Clawdbot and Moltbot), has joined OpenAI. In his new role, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated Steinberger will "drive the next generation of personal agents," with OpenClaw set to "live in a foundation as an open source project that OpenAI will continue to support." At its core, OpenClaw is an autonomous AI agent that acts as a digital employee running on a user's local machine, operating as "always on" and capable of managing emails and controlling web browsers to complete workflows via messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.
