Apple is presenting new research at the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, held in person in Barcelona, Spain, from April 13–17, 2026, and is a sponsor of the event. Research highlights include AI-driven accessibility tools such as SceneScout — which combines Apple Maps APIs with a multimodal LLM to generate street-level image descriptions for blind users — as well as hands-on demos of AirPods Pro 3 design, informed by over 10,000 3D ear scans and 100,000+ hours of user research. Several Apple researchers also serve in organizational roles, including a SIGCHI Academy inductee, a subcommittee chair, and multiple associate subcommittee chairs and reviewers for CHI 2026.
