It breaks my heart that AI—something I spent my whole life thinking about—is likely to become a dirty word, and that it has been subverted so deeply by arrogance and greed. it’s great! you can pay for the infrastructure that will eventually take your jobs! and if it fails and the bubble bursts? you can bail the hyperscalers out, and watch your pension fund die.
