Dear @geoffreyhinton, You have to stop lying about me. First was the apparently faked quote on your web page that you couldn’t provide a source for (literally the only source I found was on your own webpage!). Then I just discovered that you told a Canadian Senate Committee that I said that AI “will only replace 2% of jobs” but so far I as know I never said such thing. Nothing on Google supports what you said. You again just made it up. And said it in a very serious forum. The closest I can find is in my “25 predictions for 2025,” written in 2024, where I correctly predicted that in 2025 “Less than 10% of the work force will be replaced by AI” . It was not all a prediction about what might happen years hence, and not close to the number you apparently fabricated. (And your testimony in any event came in 2026!) To the contrary, I have repeatedly said that AI will take a lot of jobs eventually, at least as far back as my December 2012 New Yorker essay called “Will a Robot Take Your Job?”. Please cut this deceitful behavior out. You are (repeatedly) trying to make me look bad by lying about things I said. That is not acceptable.
