Hey everyone, This morning, I got an email from DeepSeek regarding how they will charge for "web search and fetch". Dear DeepSeek API user, DeepSeek API now supports web search and fetch, charged at $0.75 per 1000 successful requests. Please check the details on the pricing page. Please note that when you use the DeepSeek API through DeepSeek Harness, Claude Code, or Codex, server-side tool calls have already hit the Search and Fetch APIs. These calls are currently free of charge; per-request billing starts at 00:00 Beijing time on November 1, 2026. Ollama has followed DeepSeek on charging for peak hours, which was already a VERY questionable decision and vastly viewed as an unnecessary cash grab. For Ollama representatives in here : Will Ollama follow through with this change? For Ollama customers : How will you feel about this change if they do follow through? I think given the somewhat indefensible decision of Ollama about peak hours, I think it's important to have clarity on this situation ASAP.
