EDINET-Bench is a benchmark dataset that evaluates large language models on complex financial analysis tasks using Japanese financial statements from the EDINET database. The benchmark tests LLM capabilities in understanding, extracting, and reasoning about information from real-world Japanese corporate financial documents. This research addresses the gap in LLM evaluation for non-English financial document understanding and Japanese language financial analysis tasks.
