The 2nd Multilingual Conversational Speech Language Model (MLC-SLM) Challenge is an open research competition inviting teams worldwide to participate , featuring free registration with a $20K prize pool and key milestones including training data release in April 2026 and a workshop in October 2026 . The challenge consists of two tasks: multilingual conversational speech recognition and speech diarization/recognition, both requiring participants to develop speech language models . The challenge aims to bridge the gap in advancing multilingual conversational speech language models by providing real-world multilingual conversational speech datasets .
