From vision to reality: a unified AI solver for the grid

GENCO is an AI‑driven neural solver released by IBM Research and partners that unifies three core electrical‑grid analysis tasks within the GridFM Development Framework. It runs on Linux Foundation Energy’s OpenGridFM project as part of a free, open‑source toolkit aimed at climate‑and‑sustainability applications. The solution was announced in August 2026, with supporting research (including an arXiv paper) and additional GridFM resources available through IBM Research.
