Great news: the ERNIE editing model is expected to be released by the end of this month

A Reddit post on r/StableDiffusion announces the anticipated release of an ERNIE image editing model from Baidu, complementing the already-available ERNIE-Image-8b generation model from Baidu, which has been made available on Hugging Face along with a Turbo variant and support being added via a ComfyUI pull request. ERNIE-Image is designed with a compact architecture and solid instruction-following capability, using an 8B DiT backbone that delivers performance comparable in some scenarios to larger 20B+ models. The dedicated editing model variant would extend this lineup to support instruction-based image modification, a capability the Stable Diffusion community has been anticipating from Baidu's ERNIE image model family.
