NousResearch's Hermes Agent is an open-source personal agent that serves as a successor/migration target for the lobster-themed OpenClaw agent. Users experiencing issues after a recent update can migrate their OpenClaw settings, memories, skills, and API keys to Hermes by running hermes claw migrate, which auto-detects the ~/.openclaw/ directory and imports data interactively. Note that a known bug (issue #5191) in Hermes v0.7.0 can leave the gateway in a broken state post-migration due to openclaw.json not being copied to the new path; the workaround is to manually run cp ~/.openclaw.pre-migration-*/openclaw.json ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json followed by hermes gateway restart.
