Incredible how people are making up different numbers of weeks/months for how long Coxon worked at Anthropic to assassinate his character. The only credible source (@MadisonMills22 @axios who spoke with him directly, and fact-checked her work) reports 4 months; multiple people, like the guy below with half a million views, are trying to take him down report as little as 6 weeks — with no sources. [one source spreading around says July but Google doesn’t match the reported phrase.] also: the claim about “entry” level is clearly a lie, since @EthanJPerez reported trying to recruit him from OpenAI for 2 years. Jacob Coxon worked at Anthropic for six weeks at entry/midlevel gig. His resignation is not worthy of a WSJ scoop. Based on my knowledge & experience in the field of journalism, there is an approx 0% chance he organically placed it on his own. This was a coordinated doomer op.
