Meta is raising the price of its entire Quest VR headset lineup due to an AI-driven squeeze on components required to make the headsets. Memory chips are in high demand from AI infrastructure expansion, causing DRAM prices to soar in recent months. Meta itself is contributing to the demand by planning to ramp up spending on AI datacentre infrastructure by $135 billion in 2026, nearly double what it spent last year.
