California Attorney General Rob Bonta publicly released unredacted evidence from the state's lawsuit against Amazon for illegal price fixing, detailing how Amazon allegedly coerced vendors to raise prices on competitor websites including Walmart, Target, Chewy, Best Buy, Home Depot, and Wayfair. The court documents lay out specific email exchanges in which Amazon directed vendors to pressure competing retailers into raising their prices, or pull products from shelves altogether. Federal trial is currently scheduled for October 2026.
