Ollama has just announced, based on "feedback", that they have switched to a credit model. If you're still on the old 20 Pro compute plan, DON'T SWITCH. I decided to calculate it before I risked clicking the button and I'm rather pleased I did! Currently I get about ~2.1B tokens per month of Deepseek v4 flash based on my actual usage patterns. The new 20 plan gives 60 of credit, which works out at around 700M tokens for the same workload (even with 97% cache hit on my usage pattern). So for me, the new plan gives around one-third of the tokens for the same 20. Thats a 67% reduction. TL;DR: BEFORE: 2.1B of deepseek v4 flash for 20. After: 700m of deepseek v4 flash for 20. submitted by /u/Internal-Passage5756 [link] [comments]
