DigitalOcean has made request-based autoscaling generally available on its App Platform, enabling applications to automatically scale based on incoming HTTP request volume rather than just CPU or memory metrics. This feature allows developers to better handle traffic spikes and optimize resource utilization by adjusting the number of running instances in response to real-time demand. The capability is now available to all App Platform users without additional configuration complexity.
