SpaceX's Northrop Grumman CRS-24 (NG-24) mission launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, carrying the Cygnus XL cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station — marking the 24th Cygnus flight and its 23rd dedicated ISS resupply run. NG-24 flies in the Cygnus XL configuration, which debuted on NG-23 in September 2025, featuring a pressurized cargo module stretching 7.89 m with a payload capacity of up to 5,000 kg and 36 cubic meters of pressurized volume. The spacecraft, named S.S. Steven R. Nagel in honor of the four-time shuttle veteran, carried approximately 11,000 pounds of cargo including science investigations, supplies, and equipment for the Expedition 73 crew.
