uni & Ai - how can they tell?

how can uni tell if someone copy’s and pastes entire 3,000 word essays and calls it a day. What if that person types it out themselves so they can’t tell on the history of the document, and they take away basic AI things like using 3 examples and - and such. This isn’t about me. this is about countless students in my uni class just not doing any work and using AI to answer everything and entire assignments for them. Uni said they will always know and have special software now to pick up chatgpt and they will catch you…. but i am feeling that is a scare tack tic and they really don’t. it’s so frustrating. i study nursing. which makes it a million times more concerning and i hope the exams filter these people out lol.
