What do I want in AI? Here are just a few things. I want voice-enabled everything. I want things to be more proactive. I want to manage AI’s escalations (versus delegation). I want those escalations to be nicely designed and not in a boring chat. I don’t want to keep my laptop open. I want my M4 Max to stop crapping out because of my AI workloads. I want hundreds of VMs spun up on demand. I want AI to be more goal-oriented. I want smarter routing. I want to never think about compaction. I want AI that doesn’t sound condescending in emails and designs. I want designs that don’t have idiotic eyebrow text in every single section (hi Claude!). I want AI to not write “quiet” in everything and require me to make skills just to remove absurd-sounding AI phrases when I’m just asking for a grammar check. I want layered designs that look like images and not code. I want my conversations to be better named (Codex, looking at you!). I want labs to share use cases that aren’t meal prep and travel. I want reliable AI that can make doctor’s appointments. And hair appointments. And nails. All appointments, actually. I want AI to not write 6 paragraphs back at me, when that reply only needed one line. I want MCPs to stop breaking. I want AI to have a wake word. I want AI that scores itself harshly. I want AI to want to make things fun. I want more multiplayer AI. I want to be able to blend my Claude with someone else’s Claude (like model fusion, but agent fusion). These are a few of my favorite things.
