Amazon announced a $5 billion investment in Anthropic, with up to $20 billion more tied to commercial milestones. Anthropic committed to spending over $100 billion on AWS technologies over the next decade, including Amazon's custom Trainium AI chips. The deal secures up to 5 gigawatts of capacity for training and deploying Anthropic's Claude AI models.
