ChatGPT Atlas is a Chromium-based web browser developed by OpenAI, launched on October 21, 2025 for macOS, with Windows, iOS, and Android versions planned. It embeds ChatGPT directly into the browsing interface via a persistent sidebar that can answer questions, summarize pages, and perform multi-step tasks through an "Agent Mode" — without requiring users to leave the current page or copy-paste content. A "browser memories" feature allows ChatGPT to retain context from visited sites to personalize responses, with optional user controls to view, archive, or delete stored data at any time.
