Cursor's Cloud Agents feature enables fully autonomous AI agents that run in isolated virtual machines, where they run in isolated virtual machines each with a terminal, browser, and full desktop — cloning your repo, setting up the development environment, writing and testing code, pushing changes for review, and continuing to work whether or not you're online. The agents can produce merge-ready pull requests and can be triggered from outside the IDE: from Slack, GitHub, Linear, mobile devices, or the web — for example, kicked off from a GitHub issue with progress checkable from your phone. The feature is enabled via the Cursor Dashboard at cursor.com/dashboard/cloud-agents, and self-hosted cloud agents are also supported, keeping your codebase, build outputs, and secrets on internal machines running in your own infrastructure, while offering the same capabilities as Cursor-hosted agents — including isolated VMs, full development environments, multi-model harnesses, and plugins.
