GLM 5.1 from Z.ai is now available on Vercel's AI Gateway with no markup and no separate provider account required. Designed for long-horizon autonomous tasks, it handles planning, execution, testing, and iterative refinement in a closed loop — running sustained multi-step engineering workflows rather than one-shot code generation. Beyond agentic coding, GLM-5.1 also supports general conversation, creative writing, front-end prototyping, and office productivity tasks, and can be accessed in the AI SDK by setting the model to zai/glm-5.1.
