Google has launched a global SynthID AI content detector at synthid.com that identifies invisible watermarks embedded in images, videos and audio generated by its Gemini model. The upgraded tool now recognizes watermarks issued by partners such as OpenAI, Nvidia, Kakao—and will soon include Apple—eliminating the need to rely on Gemini for verification. Previously limited to Google’s own watermark, the new detector offers a straightforward “yes/no” check across multiple AI platforms.
