macOS 27 requires Apple Silicon, as Apple draws down the Intel Mac era

macOS 27 will be compatible with Apple silicon Macs only, requiring an M-series chip or newer. macOS 26 Tahoe is the final major macOS version for Intel-based Macs. The incompatibility stems from the dedicated Neural Processing Unit (Neural Engine) in every M-series Mac that Intel Macs do not have.
