NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman acknowledged the May 28, 2026 New Glenn rocket explosion at Cape Canaveral, noting that spaceflight development is extraordinarily difficult and pledging NASA's support for the investigation and mission assessment. Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp subsequently reported that damage assessments showed less extensive harm than initially feared, and stated the company expected to return to flight before the end of 2026.
