Quitting for Openrouter. Am I crazy?

I'm tired of watching my compute budget and topping off my Ollama account. It feels like I can use a mix with more flash models on Openrouter (things not all available at Ollama) and control my spend better than this $20/mo plus top-ups. Am I crazy to give up my original/grandfathered account? (Mostly using Hermes) Need to decide before it rebills at end of month. EDIT: I'm staying for another month, and trying to use way more flash models. And in the process found how complex it is to manage Hermes' model assignments, when they've been hard-coded to tasks. My advice: don't do that! I had to teach Hermes to keep one authoritative model index, and make a cron to keep it updated. submitted by /u/lbdesign [link] [comments]
