Signed up for the Claude $20 plan and realized why I cant cancel Chatgpt

Wanted to try Opus 5.5 because as a plus sub with OAI, Luna just couldn't deliver. Opus is a true beast. It does consume tokens on a medium level yes, but the way it works is just refreshing. But... once the 5h limit is over, that's it. Chat is blocked until it resets. You cant use any model. Not even fucking Haiku. I then realized the advantage of GPT here. So with Claude you have to be very careful not to consume your 5h window if you want to chat. I have to say I didn't like it at all and I should not have to choose between coding and chatting. I really hope OAI doesn't go the same route as I also love Sol 5.6. If OAI decides to do the same way I will have to think hard if I want to keep my sub as Claude pro in my country is actually cheaper than the plus plan due to currency differences ( I pay almost 23 for OAI and a little more than 19 for Claude). So those of you on the $20 plan who consider Claude, you should seriously take that into account. As for coding, Opus is on another level submitted by /u/mazinya [link] [comments]
