TestFlight Testers Needed! PowerChat – an AI chat client with RAG, MCP

Hi r/ollama! I am the solo dev of PowerChat, an AI chat client that provides a mobile chat interface for iOS (iPhones for now, iPad and Mac planned) to connect to self-hosted models using Ollama, or Ollama cloud models using an API Key. Here is how I use it with my Ollama server running from my AMD desktop running CachyOS. Install Ollama: https://ollama.com/download/linux Add firewall rules for the port you want to connect to (I'm using 11343) ​ sudo ufw allow 11343/tcp sudo ufw allow 11343/udp Get the local IP address ​ ip addr show | grep -w inet Pull the model you want to run ​ ollama pull Start Ollama server ​ OLLAMA_HOST=0.0.0.0:11343 ollama serve See attached video for instructions on how to connect to your Ollama server using PowerChat Privacy specifics PowerChat is a privacy-first AI client. API Keys stored in iOS Keychain. Chats, configs, and document databases stay on-device. Folders can be locked with Face ID. Other features Attach RAG databases to chat folders. Connect to MCP servers such as your desktop's filesystem, Tavily Search, or iOS Calendar. Supports importing Silly Tavern v2 cards.
