Amazon stuck with months of repairs after drone strikes on data centers

Amazon Web Services data centers in the UAE and Bahrain were directly struck by drones in March 2026, causing structural damage and disrupting power delivery. The facilities were damaged in drone strikes and dozens of services relying on these data centers in the region continue to be unavailable. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for the attacks, citing the data centers' role in supporting U.S. military and intelligence networks.
