Commonwealth Fusion Systems published five peer-reviewed physics basis papers on its ARC fusion power plant in June 2026 in the Journal of Plasma Physics. The analysis validates that the ARC plant will produce approximately 1.1 gigawatts of fusion power convertible to 400 MW of continuous net electricity for the grid, confirming the feasibility of the reactor design. The peer-reviewed validation strengthens CFS's investment case and provides a roadmap from its SPARC demonstration machine to a commercially viable ARC design.
