Former NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine has been appointed CEO of Quantum Space, a startup developing maneuverable spacecraft to meet U.S. national security space needs. The Maryland-based company, founded in 2022, holds Defense Department and Space Force contracts, including participation in the Andromeda program and a DARPA lunar water-detection project. Bridenstine previously served as NASA's 13th Administrator from 2018–2021, during which he launched the Artemis Program and expanded NASA's commercial partnerships.
