In a bold move, Rocket Lab acquires Iridium Communications

Rocket Lab has agreed to acquire Iridium Communications for $54 per share in a cash and stock transaction, valuing the company at approximately $8.0 billion. The deal combines Rocket Lab's launch and satellite manufacturing capabilities with Iridium's global satellite communications network and spectrum to create a vertically-integrated space company. The transaction is expected to close in mid-2027, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals.
