NASA's Artemis II mission concluded successfully on April 10–11, 2026, when the Orion spacecraft (named Integrity) splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego at 8:07 p.m. EDT (00:07 UTC April 11), carrying NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. The approximately nine-day lunar flyby mission, which launched April 1, 2026, was the first crewed flight beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo 17 in 1972. Mission commander Reid Wiseman confirmed all four astronauts were in good shape, and the crew were subsequently picked up by helicopter and brought aboard the USS John P. Murtha for post-mission medical evaluations.
