Miami-based City Labs launched BOHR (Betavoltaic Orbital High-Reliability), the world's first commercial nuclear-powered satellite, aboard SpaceX Transporter-17 on July 7, 2026. The mission demonstrates City Labs' proprietary NanoTritium betavoltaic technology that provides continuous electrical power independent of solar energy. BOHR represents the first commercial space mission to successfully navigate the FAA pathway for nuclear launch approval under National Security Presidential Memorandum-20.
