New social features further Plex’s evolution from media server business

Plex unveiled several social features aimed at changing how users interact with the platform , including Discussions, a community forum where users can post comments and talk about movies or TV shows , along with Lists that let users create and share lists of movies and shows and react with emojis . Plex is also adding a Match Score feature that predicts how much a user might enjoy a particular title based on their viewing habits and preferences , reflecting the company's transformation from a personal media server into a streaming hub featuring ad-supported content and movie rental options .
