A U.S. court ruling against Google recognizes the need to prevent Google from using anticompetitive tactics for its GenAI products and requires that remedies reach GenAI technologies . The court ordered Google to prohibit exclusive contracts relating to distribution of Google Search, Chrome, Google Assistant, and the Gemini app, and to make search index and user-interaction data available to rivals . The ruling addresses the search services market, which has remained largely frozen for over a decade .
