Oracle reduced its workforce by 21,000 employees (13% of global headcount) as part of a restructuring to expand AI adoption across operations and investments. The company's capital expenditure jumped 162% to $55.7 billion, almost entirely tied to AI cloud and data center buildout, resulting in negative free cash flow of $23.7 billion. To fund these investments, Oracle plans to raise $40 billion through debt and equity, including a $20 billion stock offering.
