Over a year later, AMD is bringing improved FSR 4 upscaling to its older GPUs

AMD confirmed FSR 4 upscaling for RDNA 3 in July 2026 and RDNA 2 in early 2027 , addressing long-standing gamer frustration over the feature's initial exclusivity to newer RDNA 4 cards. AMD's team had to "carefully tune, optimize and validate the model" to achieve necessary performance on older cards, including optimizing memory usage and reducing artifacts in fast-moving scenes . The expansion will benefit over 300 games by July for RX 7000 owners .
