Sony says 'efficient' AI tools will lead to even more games flooding the market

Sony Interactive Entertainment President Hideaki Nishino says efficient AI development tools will accelerate the rate of new game releases as they lower creation barriers for developers of all sizes. Sony expects a meaningful increase in volume and diversity of available games as AI tools lower barriers to creation, accelerate development cycles, and enable more creators to enter the market. PlayStation's first-party studios are already using AI tools like Mockingbird to automate workflows in quality assurance, 3D modeling, and animation, enabling animation work that previously took hours to be completed in fractions of a second.
